Hi All,

Started to put a build list together and here's what I'm planning on:

Wheels: Extralite CyberDisc 338T
Tires: TBD (any tubular suggestions?)
Crank: THM Clavicula SE
BB: BBInfinte BSA30
Chainrings and Bolts: Extralite
Stem, Bar, Seatpost: Darimo
Saddle, Bottle Cages, Computer Mount: Alpitude
Shifters, Derailleurs, Brake Calipers, Chain: Shimano Dura-Ace
Cassette: SRAM Red
Pedals: Favero Assioma Duo
Brake Rotors: TBD (Hope, Absolute Black, XTR)
Other: K-Edge chain catcher, DI2 (battery, wires, junction boxes, D-Fly)

I did a quick mass estimate and this will be close to 5kg!

I'll have more weights and pictures of the individual frame components soon, just waiting for my new scale to arrive.

What do y'all think?

Are you going to be stripping off as much as possible from your Hongfu build?

What are these parts? I didn't know there was an Alpinist saddle!

Nice, have fun with the build.

Didn’t they say 588g for a size 56 frame though? Yours is about that, but a 52, and in a raw color-way too. I thought we’d see something like around 550g or below for a smaller size.
Specialized is always a bit optimistic with their numbers. my Roval CLX was advertised 1280, but actual was 1360.

Still, bloody light frame. For me Specialized was probably the last place I would expect such a frame to come from and frankly I thought that the era of lightness was a history, confusing....

Hard to fault anything in this build it's gonna be super clean. I will say the rotors might be the one place you are adding a splash or color / character to the build. I think hope with some color could be fun.... way better choice than colored bar tape.

Agreed. I was actually trying to figure our where to add color. I was thinking brake rotors or BB or derailleur jockey wheels or chainring bolts. Stay tuned!

This is going to be really nice!

For tubulars, you can't go wrong with Veloflex. I have good mileage (with no punctures) on some Arenbergs (25mm) that should be equivalent to the new ProTour in 25mm. They also have the ProTour Race that is slightly lighter. If it was me, I would put Record 23mm at 195g, and see if it would survive.

Just don't put Tufo garden hoses. These are even lighter, but this bike is also about ride quality.
