Hello,
I'd like to share my Focus Izalco Max with you. Don't have many exotic parts, so the weight isn't exeptional, but light enough to my satisfaction. Love how it rides, very stiff and responsive and also admire the classic look. I'm very happy with the bike.

Thanks.. I'd like to keep this one for a while... there are a lot of possible weight savings, but I'd like to continue with some less expenssive like
- bartape (deda traforato could save a significant amount of weight for very little investment)
- titanium skewers (thinking about KCNC Ti, since they have good reviews here and are for good money)
- headseat, top cap, expander, (bit afriad about those superlight expanders, don't want to damage the fork - KNCN seems reasonebly light without compromising the function)
- BB (already bought an FSA plastic cups, but decided not to change it after all. Current one works fine and there are no problems with creacking - still prefer functionality over weight)
- pedals (look keo or speedplay)
- maybe chain and tires
I should be able to get below 6 kg with those changes I guess. Next on the list would be seatpost and stem, altghout I like the desing of current ones. There are no plans to change something from Dura-Ace set, maybe brakes - they would really help with the weight, but ee or sth like that are quite expensive, so I'll see.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

the focus expander is extremely clumsy and heavy and destroys the low frameset-weight. in my experience, extralite expander work fine with those framesets, using this combination since 7 years without any problems

Agree with @Reedplayer
Extralite Ultrastar3 expander is light and effective
Check out J&L Ti skewers, cheaper and lighter than KCNC, I've been using them for a while without issue

Try https://www.troc-velo.com/ or https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/
Here's completly new - but it's a full bike:

I've acutally bought the bike from that retailer and changed parts.

I weighted the focus expander and it came in 46 g with top cap and bolt. Listed weight for KNCN is 35 g, so it's not such a good deal in the end. I'll think about Extralite. It's tempting, but I'm still a bit worried.
Speaking about destroying the low frameset weight, it's funny that the bike came with Prologo saddle that weighted 318 g! I was shocked, but also happy.. easy save of more than 200 g.

Thank I found a new frame in silver freestyle colors.666pounder wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:13 pmTry https://www.troc-velo.com/ or https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/
