Sorry if I missed this, but what saddle height are you running? I reckon the 300mm seatpost a 52 comes with will be too short for my 715mm saddle height, but can't get into a shop to measure and Spesh have decided not to give me an answer...

72.7mm. 300mm seatpost will be fine.

Hi Ome, a little off topic, I have just built up my SL6 Ultralight and have Aerofly 2 on back order, as you have had both SL7 and SL6 do you think it is possible to use the SL7 stem on the SL6? I am not bothered about cable integration, thanks :)
Yes you can, but the stem's profile doesn't match round spacers. You won't be able to cover(only comes with SL7) the backside of the stem too. Looks aside there shouldn't be a problem. Btw, when you buy the Tarmac stem separately you don't get any accessories like the ones from the SL7 frameset.

I'm looking for a new stem for my bike and really like the looks of that SL7 stem. Saw someone using it on a different brand bike a few weeks ago. Do you happen to know if it will work to run the stem directly slammed on a headset cap and with a few (round) spacers + top cap on top for clamp force? Or will the round spacers fall inside of the stem opening on top.

Not a weightweenie build at 16 pounds flat with pedals but wanted to share another bar option. Deda Alenara, will require a separate SL7 headset cap available from Deda. I absolute hate the SL7 stock stem, shame. on Spesh for not offering a carbon lightweight option. Image

Stock SL7 stem is not a shame, but integrated cockpits look neat for sure.

I am considering to sell my Zipp SL70 Aero 40cm and go for either

- deda alanera (but i can't justify the price)
- vision metron
- exs aerover (unavailable)
- farsports f1 (i had that in past)

As i see your alanera, looks good! But i would prefer some more decent graphics :/

Fellow Pinoy here, nice bike

Question:

I see you have a saddle height of 72.7 and Im 66.9 - I would still have a generous seat post showing correct? Going for looks but also functionality for flex

5.8mm difference doesn't seem too much. It would just be above the 9.5 mark on your photo (worse comes to worse Id be the 9 mark)

You're my size - I ride a size 49.

Also, in case you didn't realise: it's a 58 mm difference rather than 5.8 mm and I doubt you would be able to drop the seatpost enough in the frame. I had to cut the seatpost in my 49 cm SL6 because the seattube changes shape in the middle. Haven't built my SL7 yet but wouldn't be surprised if I had to cut this one as well. Hope this helps.
