Haven’t ridden them yet! Waiting for dry roads ... I also need to put some grease on the freehub pawls .... boy they are loud!

Very nice! Clean, classy. It must be great to blast up a hill on this machine!

Also...Please update us on the wheels. They've got to be the 'hot ticket' item on this forum right now....

Thanks All - quick 20min test drive earlier and definitely nippy! I actually got the bike end of last summer and rode a little before the weather turned - my lasting memory was how well it picks up and maintains speed - the 50mm Winspace only add to that feeling.

Gears need tweaking and might flip the Winspace brake pads for swisstop, but other than that all good.

Now back to the Synapse and fenders until the roads have dried out....

Roads seem to be getting worse here, so thought I’d try some enve 31mm tubeless.

Plenty of clearance on the frame - a little tight on the ee brakes, but should be plenty.

Adding a Darimo seatpost would bring it below 6, no?

To be fair, 31mm tyres are taking to over 6kg (well actually the sealant, the tyres were 285g which isn’t bad for tubeless that wide).

The seatpost on there, tuned and cut, is about 115g from memory - you are therefore correct that, tyres aside, it would bring me under.

Very tempted!!

Like my rim brake so much, thought I would get a disc version for the grubby UK weather.

Pictures and weights to follow - hoping to be close to 6.8kg, albeit with Ultegra Di2 and a ‘non-hi mod’ frame it’s going to be tight.
