Absolutely stunning build, as much as I love acid mint colourway (I've come close to buying a frameset 3 times now) the rim brake tarmac is just such a classy looking thing!

Lovin' the Duraace wheelset combo myself. But yeah I'm also on the I'll miss the Acid Mint boat :) But you already covered that.

Wow, 5.9kg is seriously light, but from what I understand that's mainly due to the light wheels/tubulars?

It's a lovely looking bike and honestly I don't really mind which wheels are being used (that's a compliment to this frame). I'd just stick the set that I needed for that day. Probably the Enve's, because I wouldn't sell my aero bike for the 95% flat rides we do here in the Netherlands.

Great read, thanks for sharing.

- Interesting to hear people are pestering you in the background. It's a testament to the quality of your builds. It's attracting both attention and interest. I think it's clever you did a report in one fell swoop.

- Rides of Japan guy is great. I've watched his multi-part disc setup/bleed videos too. He also helped me get over the fear of setting up tubeless, thanks to his video of watching him struggle and still survive the first install.

- Gonna stay out of the political topics. So all I'll say is I've had very similar personal experiences and journeys as it pertains to both brakes and tire width choices. Reading your story was fresh yet so familiar, at the same time.

- Man, I really agree about the belief that the SL6 may some day be a classic. Especially the rim brake frame set. And this is coming from a Spesh anti-fan (I'm cool now, I promise.... see I got my #Spesh tattoo on my inner thigh). I actually scrambled to try and find a frame set shortly after seeing you start your build. No luck, all inventory in my size wiped out because bikes became the new TP/sanitizer. ;) Oh well. High likelihood I will die mad knowing I didn't swoop one myself! ;)

Glad you're enjoying the SL6.
