Thanks for the recommendations guys. Will look into the Veloflex tyres when these ones wear out.
R.e. The seatpost; it seems pretty good to me. I've had no slipping from what I can tell. It is a little awkward to adjust saddle tilt though. The angle of the bolts that are used to clamp the saddle into the post mean you can only use a ball ended allen key to tighten it down, which makes it harder to get tight. This is only minor though as I've only had to set mine up once.

Especially with how hard it is to buy a new bike, this has me looking at my CAAD12 thinking it needs a rebuild.
