Whilst waiting on the frame... a small geometry comparison made between the Mach 4 SL and some bikes in the same category (100/100 F/R travel).
What becomes apparent is that the Mach 4 SL has a huge standover clearance - resulting in a lot of seatpost showing and giving a lot of room for a dropper if so desired.
This compared to bikes with more or less the same reach and/or effective top tube measurements.

Ah, there she is. A bit shy of the scale... with good reason I guess ;-)

Since the damper rebuild parts were not in yet I have picked it up and will have the remote removal done later.

Carbon-Ti alu front axle QR15 boost Fox, 35g
(Not lighter than the Fox Kabolt, but matching the rear axle)

Image

Carbon-Ti alu rear axle E-thru boost, 33g

Image

Extralite axles are lighter, but have the hex key entry on the other side, so no regular torque key can be used. And prefer the match with the hubs for a clean build.

Ouch... the ‘SL’ may not be deserved. Fortunately not unexpected.
Large frame, no water bottle screws, no derailleur hanger, no saddle post clamp, no rear axle, no remote cable, incl rear shock: 2420g

Temporary hack until 3pos damper head arrives. Unfortunately needed because of the push (cable pull) to unlock of the Fox rear shock.

So with a bit longer legs the visual appearance of a low top tube / high standover height does takes some getting used to. (read: not used to this look)

Image

This is a large, my height is 186.5cm, inner leg length of 89.5cm for reference. According to dealer and Pivot size table it should be ok’ish.

Build almost done, brakes still to bleed/rear to fill up after installing a new hose, 9.95kg as pictured with temp tires and tubes (to seat tubeless tape).

PS: sorry for the uninspired picture... will do better next time.
