2) I am not a big fan of the painted seat post look either. Although the seat post is a glossy black finish and the stem is a polished black logo on matte black.Tam wrote:2) the black post is a nicer look, rather than the colour matching the lugs. More balanced in matching the stem.
3) Are you using the higher headtube cap?
3) I am still dialing in my fit so I am currently using the taller headset dust cover. I think I need to drop the handlebars about 5mm so I will probably eventually change to the shorter one.

We have almost the same build but I chose Deda Superzero stem and bar for a little more sprinting stiffness and the bar top hand comfort. Also, I think the angular shaping of the stem is a nice combination with the harder edges on these recent C frames. I have a C40 as well and it looks best IMO with a classic cylinder stem shaft like the stem you chose.
My C64 is 54s in the black on black scheme so the seat post doesn't have that lug color extension issue you mentioned being black anyway. I like what you did! the frame lugs are more celebrated on their own without the distracting post extending the color.
So mine is also SR mech, compact rings, 172.5, Selle Italia Flight Tekno flow carbon, Speedplay zero Ti "Maglia Rosa" + Supacaz tape w pink stars
2 wheelsets: for climbing - Bora Ultra 35 T/11-32 Corsa Control rear, Corsa front and for speed - WTO 60/11-29 (various tires getting tested).
I am actually thinking of adding either the Bora One T or waiting for some pricing drop on the WTO 33. I love tubulars but I also like just putting a durable clincher on and not worrying about much of anything. I've been having some trouble with the latest Vittorias which is surprising me after riding their tubulars for 30 yrs.
@Wingnut. As a general rule, I typically use my Bora One tubulars for racing and my WTO 33 clinchers for training......Except when I occasionally use my tubulars for training and my clinchers for racing, and vice versa......(Excluding this year since there is likely to be no racing)
@jwest. Sounds nice. You should post some pictures of your C64 build. I would like to see what a Deda Superzero stem looks like on a C64.

The unpainted sections of tubing displays the unique imperfections of the raw unidirectional matte carbon fiber.

One of the things I miss from older C series Colnagos: the nice 3k weave. UD looks (and is) cheaper.
I like the 3K weave look on my c60 tubes too but that's just a superficial layer though. Removing it was probably one of the reason why the C64 got lighter.
Like the bold blue lugs! Blue isn't my colour of choice but I like it striking

It is superficial indeed but it is nice and more durable in the case of a small impact (like a hit from a stone or other debris).
The C60, Super Record 11, and Bora Ultra/One all have the 3K carbon weave finish. Whereas the C64, Super Record 12, and Bora WTO all have a similar unidirectional carbon finish.

Very nice build. I think a Colnago looks better with very finished components like your build whereas other frames look good with more handmade exotic parts.
I think the UD carbon looks good on the slightly more sculpted look of SR12. The 3K looks good on the more edgy SR11. Both are very nice and I would ride the heck out of either.
