A 1947 bennetto with cambio corsa back pedal gear changer.
The chainset is Argentina and so are the levers. The brakes are universal and they work surprisingly well. Rims are fiamme on a camapagnolo cambio corsa hub and with a matching FB front hub. These were made for campagnolo. Bottom bracket is of the steel cottered type. The freewheel is an everest 4 speed. Tour de france mudguards have been fitted. The seatpost is modern. An old seatpost is too short. The stem is an old ambrosio. Not sure I want to rest my hands on the levers. I need to find some hoods for these.
Not sure about the guards but they are needed at this time of year. The guards have been put on backwards to offer some protection. Was old kit always this shit.
That brown electrical tape was there when I got it. Yet to remove it.
Weight 10.5kg which is not bad for 40's steel.

Heavy well the bb is steel, the chainset is steel, the bars are steel..... for 1947 10kg is not heavy. That was light back then.
No idea on the tubing but whatever columbus did back in the 40s is a good guess.

Ah, that makes the weight seem a lot more impressive
