Thanks!

I've been on discs for 2 years, the TCR feels pretty much the same.
- Yes, it's heavier by 400-500g at least. Side note the local Giant distributor said the new version coming out is 100g lighter
- On any weather, alum rims will be just as good
- Discs are way better in the wet vs carbon rims
- I'm a weak descender, and discs increased my confidence.

In the end, if you've got lousy weather 1/3 of the year I think discs are a good option. But if you're gunning for a light bike, stay clear. I've slapped on some good compontents already and it's still at 7kg.

Got an update to my TCR's family - the yellow one got a facelift & is now Blue!!
Had this update in my head for a long, long time. Giant's new paint schemes are really nice & the fluoro yellow was starting to feel a bit dated ....stars aligned & finally got it done as of a couple days ago.

The Rabobank is no more...sold it to fund a new 2020 Revolt Advanced 0 gravel beast.
This one is setup with 2 sets of wheels (32's slicks - for road duty & 40's knobbies for gravel adventures). We've been having lots of fun on this one as we reached critical mass on the gravel front among our friends & have spent a good chunk of the year exploring new trails.

Nice ones , Lucky guy ! I honestly think that TCR's are for the discerning connoisseur!
Seems to me that past /current TCR's owners stick to them for longer than other brands.
