Hey guys.
So I’ve finally found time to sort out a proper thread for my new bike.
2019 CAAD12 disc Dura Ace size 58.
So far there’s not any drastic changes from stock spec:
Hylix setback post (169g uncut)
eBay carbon saddle (83g)
eBay Bontrager xxx replica cages (15g & 16g)
J&L alloy bottle cage bolts (3g for 4)
J&L front thru axle (21g)
I’m afraid some scale shots are missing as I thought I’d taken them and it turns out I hadn’t!!
I have fitted the 5mm headset cover and stripped the logos from the C1 stem (it’ll get ti bolts soon)
The weight with 9100 pedals is 7.4kg which I was VERY pleased with given that it’s a big framed alloy disc bike with no particularly weenie parts fitted!!
Plans for the near future include:
Ti bolts for stem
Mt Zoom rear skewer
Conti supersonic tubes
Shorten hoses and cables

Thanks guys.
Really pleased with the bike so far. Discs are superb, I'm a complete convert! There's not a lot I can really say that hasn't already been said about them but I find the feel and modulation to be next level. I may size down to a 140mm rotor for the front as I find the bias towards the front to be a little too much. I'll get a few more rides under my belt first though as it may just take a little getting used to.
So far I've experienced no issues with the lack of a thru axle rear end which was my only reservation with the bike.
As for the rest of the bike, I am blown away to be honest. The frame is incredibly stiff, putting the power down out of the saddle is a joy! Climbing is so easy, easier I would say than the Supersix evo (rim brake, Dura ace 9000, 50mm clinchers with r45s etc 6.9kg) I had before. The bike feels very light, I was surprised by the weight when I got it on the scales!! I though it just 'rode light' rather than being physically light.
The ride is very firm, there's no getting away from that but I actually really like that in a bike.
First big ride will be this weekend and I can't wait! Although the forecast is not favourable at the moment!!

Great build!
It looks amazing in purple; I have the grey '20 frame...not dazzling at all!
I have ultegra on mine but not sure about the weight as the scales broke a soon as I finished the build
I am thinking of downsizing the rear brake rotor from 160 to 140.
I can't find much info out there; you wouldn't know which bolts I need and also more importantly, how to set it up without the flat mount adapter currently fitted to host the 160mm rotor?
Thanks in advance.

How much does the frame weight roughly? I'm struggling to get my head around the 7.8kg you've got with this, and the 9.3kg i've got with my Lynskey. Even if i changed the finishing kit etc. to something lighter i don't think i'd get it that light.
Well done!

I don't have a frame weight I'm afraid, I bought the bike as a complete build. I'd hazard a guess at about 1250g though maybe. I was amazed at the weight of the bike too to be honest.
Yes, 160mm as it is a 2019 frame-sorry about the typo
Do you have link to thru axle by any chance?
