It's been a while as I have had to recover from a total foot reconstruction. I'm slowly getting there.
Anyway, I think weightweenies should not only be about bikes...
I am an illustrator now and I'm prone to getting hand fatigue.
So I spent the evening tuning my mouse. And I thought I would show you all how it turned out: I mean where else can I share this? Who would appreciate it?
(just to compare, my totally stock Mad Catz RAT7 weights 134.2 grams)

That's cool, what modifications did you perform? Computer devices might be an easy target for DIY CF construction.

It has 3 steel screws replaced with PEEK ones.
the front 'wings' are unecessary and so they got hacked off.
There was black sticky tape inside there which all got thrown out.
A few holes drilled where it is not noticeable.
Some of the screws were replaced with superglue (I mean how likely is it that something goes wrong or to repair anything?)
One of the electrical wires did absolutely nothing so that had to go...

That doesn't count unless you take the mouse on rides.synchronicity wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 12:47 pmIt's been a while as I have had to recover from a total foot reconstruction. I'm slowly getting there.

Nice! btw, where'd you get those PEEK screws from? they're hella rare to begin with and for something that's sized for electronics, probably pan head and phillips, I wouldn't know where to start other than custom ordering a batch of 1000...
