Need recommendations for bottle cages and have to decide what I want to do for wheels. The enves have an unbeatable warranty and are bling as hell. I would get the light bicycles built with DT 240 hubs and sapim spokes so they weight would be similar.

Any recommendations for stuff to change out?

what are you planning as main use for an allez sprint with a 42 -11 30 or 11 32 ?
The allez sprint is a criterium, race bike ,
quite stiff, but harsh ride for training and hanging around


Hope you won't have issues with misaligned seattube
or ovalized bottom bracket :p

Roman have you done significant kms on an allez? They're fine for 200km days if you pick the right components, the days of ultra harsh alloy are well behind us.

I don't understand this chainring cassette combination? What are you planning to use this bike for? I feel like you're going to be severly undergeared when it comes to flat or rolling conditions.

I don't entirely agree with this... The Allez sprint is defintiely better than previous alloy bikes, but it is still a pretty stiff, race bike. You could certainly do 200k's on one, I have, others I know have as well, but I wouldn't say it was the best choice I ever made.

Junior gearing is the short answer.
Just a little over 100 gear inches but I have friends that have gotten away with 42-11. Way better than 52-14 as there are no lightweight 14-28 cassetes (Ultegra is the only option and heavy). Pit wheels at crits use 11-28 cassetes.

Napkin math puts me at 7.4kg or so. Under 7kg would be nice but highly unlikely. Hopefully not too bad all things considered (alloy frame + discs)

When did you get a Sprint?

I don't have a sprint. I have an SWorks DSW Allez, the generation prior to the sprint. My best training buddy is on an Allez Sprint, though, so I'm pretty familiar with both and have ridden both. We've both done 100+ mile training rides on our bikes, so it can be done, but we would both choose our carbon bikes over the Allez frames. My Allez doesn't have the DSW bottom bracket, which is definitely stiffer, but I think the downtube on my bike is thicker and the seat stays are beefier on my frame. The Sprint frame has smaller seat stays that are dropped, which generally aids compliance, but the seat tube and seat post on the Sprint are aero shaped and offer little compliance.

As I said, I don't entirely agree... the Sprint is an awesome bike. The bang for the buck represented by the Allez frames is incredible. I still use mine all the time and really enjoy it, but its defintiely not the same as my Tarmac when it comes to long rides. My teammate has a Sprint and an SWorks Venge. He loves the Sprint, but would definitely choose the Venge for long rides.
