I’ve been gathering parts for a wee while
Not included everything I’ve bought as I’ve bought some ridiculous things...TradeMe (eBay) fever, I’ll confess later
About to tackle putting them all together

Last bike was a Focus Izalco Max Disc
Previous bikes BMC time machine 54cm Frame, bit too small had to go, also lunched a Carbon clincher so fancied discs
Image
2012 Scott Foil, loved the bike but got a weird idea that more aero would make me faster...weird eh, I didn’t think that training can cause improvements

Looking forward to comparing and contrasting the rides

Got it to 5.8kg without spending a fortune or having to be too imaginative

Image

Although the angle of the bars looks a little off in this photo

This is the first time I’ve ridden SRAM and I like the set up.
Especially like the positive click and feel of the gear shifter. Shimano feels more analogue and IMO needs to more movement and effort to change gears.

There are gold accents on the frame which appeal to me

The bike itself is great to ride particularly downhill, very manoeuvrable and fleet of foot

I’ve got a set of Campagnolo Shamal Mille for commuting and every day use. Last bike was a disc brake so I wanted wheels that brake well, so far the Shamals are excellent.

It’s not a true WW yet but I’m pleased with it so far

I think next move will be THM or Extralite crank and new rings

Would like to get it to about 5.3kg, eventually

Sell the GXP cranks for BB30, that already saves 100+ grams

GXP...100g .d’oh

Does anyone have experience with the Extralite QRC-2 weight 458g?

THM seems like the obvious choice.

Nice bike. I have always liked Fuji’s. Yours looks good with both sets of wheels.

Good question
Not 100% sure....no, honestly

I'm my head I had a budget of NZ $5,500, luckily I was on serious amounts of pain killers, due to being unwell then having an operation, and bought parts as though money didn’t matter
Roughly $6,500NZ, including both sets of wheels, bought some stuff second hand
