Hello everyone,

I've been a long time lover of Italian road bikes and have kept my eyes open for something special and a bit different for quite a while now, I was looking for something with a Campagnolo groupset and preferably with the frame made in Italy.
I stumbled upon this De Rosa Age, which was advertised for sale directly from De Rosa, it was the last one in stock and it was in my size, it came with a Chorus groupset and Shamal Mille wheels, perfect! It was advertised as "shipping only to Italy" but after a few emails they agreed to ship it to Scotland for me, here she is! The Age is a fillet brazed steel frame made in Italy.
It is a beautiful bike to ride and i have already beaten my best times on my regular routes, i'm guessing this is down to the wheels as the steel frame is heavier than my previous carbon frame.
I'm not the best photographer so the pictures don't really do it justice...

Thanks for the nice comments, i've now owned the De Rosa for nearly 18 months and it has been a delight, i've actually achieved most of my fastest times on Strava with it, so my fear that steel would slow me down has been unfounded - perhaps it is to do with the wheels.

Don't say that! It's contradicting 99% of member purchses on this site, if it's not expensive, plastic and fantastic it can't be done!

Been on steel bikes for a few years now and can't see me going back to plastic 😂 I'm quicker on this than I was on my Giant Propel and I'm 4yrs older!
