@drumjdds: Fastest bike I have ever ridden, amazing ride

Latest addition, decided I might as well match the hub bearings with BB, so in goes a Ceramic Speed BB, adding about 26g!

Not that a spin test shows anything, but interesting difference between the SRAM DUB and CS DUB

Off to the Alps in a week, changed to some light tyres and a new tube.

Great weight considering how it left the factory.
I’d steer clear of those tubes though, guy in our week long trip in Spain got a puncture every day with those!

I have used the tubes for about a year now, approx 10K miles, with 1 puncture, also just done 4 days in the alps with 31K of climbing/descending without an issue. Big thumbs up from me.

Can anyone guess where I am?!

Awesome build and weight. I am in grenoble today, supposed to be at the alpe d'huez stage but unwell so your photos cause much envy. How did the bdop cassette fair for you in terms of shift quality and durability?

Ahh that sucks, still, rest up and watch the tour stage on the TV.

The bdop cassette was rubbish, light, looked great but didn't work very well, super noisy, used it once and swapped it out for a DA cassette (then switched to 12-speed DA)

What seatpost are you running? Have you tried the Hylix one? I'm thinking about trying it out at 145g.

Using the standard 0 offset Cervelo SP20, modified a bit with carbon cradle, pop yokes and ti bolts @170.6g, saw the hylix, which when cut to my size would come out at around 130 I reckon, but I am holding out for a darimo one (it’s been on his coming soon list for ages though)

Can I ask which chainring bolts you've used? The standard Shimano ones (FC-M970)?

Oh and another question: does the Quarq come with the 8x torx T20 bolts? Or did you purchase these separately?

Thanks!

@VvM: Yes, used standard Shimano chainring bolts, the 8 x Quarq bolts came installed with the Spider on the original crank.

In other news, the quest to go lighter has continued..

After waiting forever for Darimo to produce an S3 compatible seatpost (which is still coming soon, and has been for 18 months..)

I went for the Hylix one, first impressions are that it is very well made, with Ti Bolts and Carbon Cradle as standard and interchangeable between +3mm and -15mm offset:

Fit is a bit tight, but it got there in the end.

Original:

138.7g

Trimmed:

128.2g

Saving a whopping 42.8 grams..

Bike weight is now 6.62 Kg

I'm also using a Hylix D-shaped seatpost on my BMC Teammachine SLR01. Absolutely no problems so far and it's a nice 50g savings from the original one. They aren't so pricey like the Darimo ones and the 0mm offset works perfectly for my bike fit. Only thing I had to work out was how to mount the Di2 battery. I just wrapped it in foam and stuffed into the post. How did you mount your Di2 battery?

I got a hylix also, but it seems to be creaking quite a bit no matter how much I tighten down the saddle rail clamps.

Thanks mate. In the meantime my Quarq has arrived and it had the 8 bolts included.
