The rider is male, running on 54, 183 cm tall, all arms and legs (seat height 81 cm), 68 kg. He likes manouverable bikes with predictable braking performance and solid feel at high speeds. His favourite ride must be the "Barcelonette Loop", cols Allos, Champs and Cayolle in that order. He hasn't bothered weighing the bike.

Wow , great bike, although the cranks need to grow on me - they look nice but a bit bulky.

Great taste in bikes and routes. The Allos, Cayolle aand Champs loop is awesome in either direction.

Perfect! Nice and simple. A proper climbing bike with the best climbing saddle IME
(I would only go for carbon bottle cages. These look too classic).

I also wonder... A few experienced riders I know claim that Campagnolo 12 speed is much better than previous 11 speed versions. Is it true?

Weather has not permitted the outdoors yet, only a couple of hundred k on an indoor athletics track, so those Campag shifters are not properly broken in yet. The feel is more ten speed than eleven (more clunk!), but with wonderfully short throws on the right.

About those cages; I have a set of Nucleons to complement them... The last time I used these cages were also the last time I had a top of the line machine: A Ti Megatubo. I’m old enough to allow myself a bit of nostalgia, no?

Let's hope you get some nice weather soon. Otherwise, I hope you like climbing out of the saddle, since the Specialissima seems to like it a lot.
