Hello All,

Not exactly a weight weenie build but I do have some go lighter and faster bits on here that I added once I got the bike second hand. I started riding seriously last year and after 4000 miles, 50 pounds of lost weight, and 10 bikes later I settled on this rig. I am completely obsessed and can't wait to get back out there this spring. Here are some build details and specs, enjoy a few photos!

Independent Fabrication Crown Jewel 56cm
- black cherry metallic
- Steel IF fork
- Full Dura Ace 9000 mechanical rim
- 50/34 172.5 11-28t
- Zipp 303s
- Conti GP4000s
- FSA SLK compact bar
- FSA SLK OS-99 stem
- Lizard Skin 2.5mm bar tape
- Chris King headset in gold
- Jagwire braided lines in gold
- Thomson masterpiece seatpost
- Fizik Antares R1 VS Evo braided carbon
- Look pedals
- KMC gold chain

17.5 pounds with pedals and cages

For a fully painted steel frame (and fork!) I'd say 17.6 lbs. is pretty damn good, especially if it's your starting point. Had IF not moved to Newmarket when they did I'd likely have something quite similar rather than my Firefly.

But don't bury the lede - you went through 10 bikes in the past year?

I like to try different things, I do the same things with cheap crappy cars etc. I have a bit of a problem, but I really like to find perfection which is never actually accomplished. A lot of the bikes I went through were no where near the level of this bike so it's not like I was turning over custom rigs every 3-4 weeks. Lots of CAADS, some older cervelos.. nothing crazy
