Hi all, newbie here. First off, really enjoy reading the topics and comments you guys/gals post on this site.
I'm in the process of building an all round racing bike at the moment. Frame - S-Works SL5.
Use - training and racing
Need advice on medium deep rims. Looking at Roval CL50, Aeolus Pro 5 or PD 38/58. Now with the CL50, what brakes could accommodate the rim 29.4mm width with 25-30mm tyres? And would the SL5 have enough clearance? I've measured the fork and stays and it seems it has enough clearance where the calipers would be. But just to make sure, from you guys with the know-how. And lastly, which of the above rims (with proper brake pads) perform the best in the wet? All your advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.
