2019 S-Works Tarmac SL6 Disc QuickStep

Hey guys - new poster here. Just today picked up the start of my new project so thought i'd make a new topic to share.

I currently own a 2018 Tarmac Expert and love it to pieces, although I was considering buying a set of carbon clinchers for it and upgrading the R8000 groupset to Di2. That was at the point when the first images of the 2019 Deceuninck QuickStep team bikes were unveiled and I fell in love...needless to say:

2019 S-Works Tarmac SL6 Disc frameset in QuickStep team colours it was.

I started doing my research into SL6 Disc bikes, stumbling across this website where I found lots of useful info from similar builds and read up on a lot of stories - thanks! I initially spotted the frameset on sale on the Australian Specialized website, followed by USA/France/Belgium - but no UK, with no plans for Specialized UK to be importing any! Luckily, my LBS/Spesh dealer did some digging and shortly after my 56cm frameset was on a special order.

Will update here as the build progresses shortly, but loose plans are PRO Bars with Di2 integration, PRO Vibe Alloy stem, PRO Stealth saddle, Ultegra R8070 Di2 groupset with XTR/Dura-Ace rotors.

I'm not certain on wheelset yet as I don't have the budget to go all out straight away. Either Roval C38, CL50 or Dura-Ace R9170 C40 - thoughts?

Oh and for your WW spreadsheet! Frame 850g, uncut fork 390g.

Thanks - C38 are a definite option at this point (look great, similar weight to most in class 1550g, great price, modern internal rim width and tubeless ready). Ideally i'd have CLX50 but that may be an upgrade a little later when funds allow.

Should have most parts within a few weeks ready to build.

And someone others parts lol.... how can it be his bike if it’s a complete blike and the ts says he will soon have most of the parts?

Thanks for helping me clarify! I just posted up 2 pictures of the team bikes with the C38 wheels that we were discussing...

And, Parajba, i’ll leave it to you to tell Julian Alaphilippe his name sticker is in the wrong place

Yes interesting setup. The SL6 seatpost is D shaped so must be custom offset?
