often times i feel like i'm the only one who actually thinks some space between the stem and the head tube looks better than the slammed look
100 pct agreed.
Get out of here! :-| :waving: :waving:

Slammed definitely looks better....for the bike itself.
But if you don’t feel confortable then don’t do it. Otherwise the combo human-bike even with a slammed stem will not look good....LOL..

Here's some interim updates to my C64 after 6 months of riding.
1. Zipp 404 NSW changed to Campy Bora Ultra 35 w/GP5000 borrowed from the previous Pinarello while waiting for the arrival of Bora WTO 45 in tubeless setup later this month.
2. Saddle changed to Selle Italia Tekno SP-01 for better comfort due to more padding.

Weight now below 6.9kg and it is a better machine for climbing now. ImageImage

Is this in HK? Lovely bike, think your saddle height could be too high and thats why you are getting pain in the backside? Might be worth looking into. In theory as the C64 is so smooth you shouldn't be getting too much shock through the saddle :)

Could also be that the OP's bars are too high (are they higher than the saddle even?), shifting all your weight towards the back of the bike and onto your behind.

My new set of Bora WTO 45 finally arrived after 2 months of waiting. Mounted on it is the 25mm Continental GP5000 tubeless thru the 2-way fit system.

I my opinion, 45mm rim depth is much better than Zipp 404 NSW and Bora Ultra 35 in view of a balance between aero performance and weight. The bright label also looks stunning. ImageImageImage

Looking great! What is actual width of 5000TL on those? How are they laterally, does rear wheel brake rub out of saddle?

Lovely bike, I'm thinking of upgrading to a C64 myself so I was interested in yours as I ride a 45s V2-r (I'm 167cm/ 67cm bb-top) however yours looks quite a bit bigger, is it 45cm From bb top seat clamp area? I'm curious as it's difficult to see these bikes in the flesh in small sizes. Here is a pic of mine for reference:

I just ordered one, but haven't started building it out yet. I've been doing a lot of research asking folks questions on this forum. Looking back as you've been riding it, would you do anything differently with the components knowing what you know now or have you made any upgrades since owning it?
Current Bike: 2018 Trek Emonda SLR

Pending Bike: 2021 Colnago C64 [eta July]

Previous Bikes:
2012 Felt F1 Sprint
2000 Trek 8400
