I haven't yet switched the expander plug to the Giant Aircap, but will do that soon for a few more grams gone.
May I ask whether you have done this, and if so, how much weight did you save over the standard FSA expander?

Off the top of my head.. I think the stock expander is 70-80g's (ish) compare to the glue in giant aircap at about 17g. One of the cheapest weight saving upgrades a TCR owner can make (free with the frameset/bike).

Beautiful! thanks for that. My advanced SL arrives tomorrow. I went with the M/L over the M, and I was stressing on the dimensions, but your bike looks perfectly proportioned! Me on a M was really a stupid idea (i'm not going pro any time soon!) but I was being swayed by all the promo shots and the team CCC bikes in medium.

Another question for the OP (hey refthimos!) because, well, i've got time and it's going to be a while before I get my new bike...

The extralite thru axles? What size did you get? And how accurately do they measure against Giant's own QR thru axles? It looks like extralite, J&L and Roberts Axle Project all vary in the size of the rear thru axle. The front seems to be a standard 120mm/M12/1.5thread but these three brands offer 163mm (extralite), 159mm or 165mm (roberts) or 161mm (J&L) in the rear. Without the stock axles to measure, it's hard to know whos right! Thanks, hope everyone's doing okay at the moment.

Haha! They're both great bikes. Canonndale is a team sponsor, and I wanted a non-peak aero road disc bike but wasn't happy that the prior Evo disc used a QR rear rather than thru-axle. Very pleased with the new Evo!
