This gravel bike was not intended to be a weenie build, and I did not weigh components. It's been about 6 weeks since I started building, and I just finished this weekend and got my test ride in. The current weight as ridden with keo pedals, a temporary SSM sadle and sealant is 8.1kg.

If you want to drop some cheap and easy weight, get some J & L thru axles on eBay. Probably lose most of 50 grams for $40.

Supplied axles seem to be a bit chubby - I will check the eBay options out. Thanks!

you are gonna lose 130g +.. as long as you dont mind losing the levers.

Atleast for the hardlites pay attentions to the overall length and where the thread start and end... they give drawings on the listings, so you can be sure they ones you are getting fit the bike.

These axles seem to be oddball sizes and I don’t see anything that fits so far. Hardlite confirmed they don’t have anything that will fit, so for now I stay with these but keep looking.

I went for a ride last weekend and the bike needs some fit adjustments. I’m not used to larger tires or the gearing but felt like I was straining to make power. I did a quick check with a fitment app and the saddle seems to need to come forward because my knee is behind the pedal. My Z4 fit for comparison seemed to be nearly spot on and feels great. Hopefully I don’t need a non offset seat post, because it’s not clear that they are available. I am still using road shoes, pedals and a spare saddle, so I’ll check again after I get those sorted.

Overall no major complaints with the bike but rides are limited to roads so far. The seatpost wedge has been fine so far. I will keep on the lookout for a US made frame if I can find something nice on eBay. Di2 is really nice, and the integration with the Element and power meter is great. I can’t imagine going back to mechanical groups.

Great bike. Congratulations.

One question: Does the battery pack fit into the seat post and did you need a special adapter for that?

Yes it fits. I am using a small piece of foam plus electrical tape to keep it in place.

That is a beautiful bike. I keep looking at it and hope you can help answer a few questions. Does it come with a zero setback seatpost? Could I use a 3t Charlie zero setback seatpost on it? Could a 27.2 seatpost fit into the seattube with some custom spacers made? Thanks for any information. Excited to hear how you like it long term.

Unfortunately their setback seatpost is the only option as of the last time I spoke with them. I could use one also actually because my knee is a bit behind the pedal. You might want to ask in case more requests trigger them to offer a non setback version. I don’t think you can use a round post but will double check the diameter later.

Hi,
could you tell me, please, how long the seatpost is?
Thanks.
