Ryanh is a fan of the simple SRAM plastic PF30 Bottom Brackets. With my THM cranks, I was using their BB and got nasty creaking. When taking my bike apart to clean, I noticed the BB was super easy to unthread, meaning I should have added some type of locking paste on the threads. Pretty sure my creak stemmed from the threading coming loose after a few months of riding. So go with the SRAM PF30 BB.

Yeah, sram makes two types, you want the one with the delrin sleeve between the spindle and bearing. I've never had a problem with those and they accommodate variations in spindle diameter well.
For this build though I'm using the FSA Pf30 bb without the sleeve as it only weighs 67g. These don't work well with Cannondale Cranks since the spindle is too large and the ID of the bearings too tight but it was a perfect match for the SRM Origin spindle.

From my understanding the Izalco Max are built to pretty good tolerances so there shouldn't be a need for a thread together BB.
FSA SL bearings should be standard with your frame (they're red). Using a Slam That Stem bearing cover drops a few more grams.

Thanks! The ones that came with my bike are definitely not the SL. It turned out to be quite the search, but I found and ordered them.
I am still not positive if I will slam the stem. The Focus is a 54 and pretty low compared to my medium canyon Aeroad(s). Since I’ll be using the Focus for climbing only, I have to be able to generate optimal power.

One of my favourite wheelsets and it looks great but not ideal aesthetically on the traditional style frame like the Izalco. Mad Fiber or RZRs I think would work better.
MCCs work really well on more curvy shapes like the Oltre or F10.
