I have been a member of this site for a few years but have never posted a build as of yet although I have done many in years past. Picked up the frame Nov 2/2018 and its the last 18 model they had instock from Italy. Most of the parts was an easy swap over so I didnt weigh some individual parts as I wanted to ride the bike at least once before the snow flies. The pic with the complete bike on the scale is without the front brake. I have now added the brake which brings the complete bike weight to 7.01kg which is not light weight but still less than my Time RXRS.

This frame comes almost exact fit as my 2012 Time RXRS Ulteam Medium or 56mm TT which kind of surprised me. First ride impressions were it does accelerate quicker than the Time but as I got into the ride further travelling some of the frost cracked roads I frequent I noticed that it was not as harsh as the Time was on these same roads. So the frame fits me very well and it is stiffer and rides better than the Time. Win Win for me.

and the seat. C'mon, it's a Colnago - a little class is in order. The wheels aren't really working for me either. To much font conflict between "Easton" and "Colnago"

the red chain ring and saddle are somewhat distracting.

Seat is being replaced with SMP full carbon and the red ring is being replaced with grey Absolute Black and green Selle Italia tape installed. Got the Bora Ultra tubs today.

Good choice on acting on the feedback. It'll be a clean looking rig.

Thanks I have been trying to keep this thing under 7kg so I spent a little more money on brakes and wheels to help keep it under 7. I wanted to try the SMP saddle and the only colour I could get in the composit was Italian green so I ordered the Selle Italia green tape to go with it. Hopefully that will give the classic look to appease all onlookers. With the Bora Ultras and the saddle it should be 6.73 kg.

It’s a great frame. I built a v2-r up this year and very pleased. A few ‘weight weenie’ parts on the way and it’ll be around 6kg, it’s a 48cm.

I have had mine for a year now and its likely the nicest frame I have owned since I started riding and I have had a few nice frames. This is the first frame I have built using more lightweight parts in my history. I could go to CF cranks but in the past I have had the threaded sleeve for the pedal come loose and I am pretty bad with scrubbing the DS with my shoe. I just dont have any faith yet in the CF cranks but still waiting and was just reading about the guy from China who cycles and is designing a crank that will have no rider weight limits and still light as the THM. So there is still hope in the future.
This is the post he has put up here.

The Pave pedals add some weight but it also adds durability. Switched over the Ti bits to lighten the load somewhat.
