Ah, I see... so it would fit 9sp too if so inclined. I thought due to the threaded 1” steertube/headset and all it must have been a NOS from the 80’s or something. Looks very nicely made.
Still, that geometry chart on the website must be wonky. 74 degree seat tube angle for every size from 47 through 64? That can’t be right. Even looking at the frame in the stand, I would be hard pressed to say that’s a 74 degree angle. There’s no way I would be able to get a decent saddle position on my size (60) without a huge offset seatpost, like over 30+mm or clamping the rails at the extreme front. Let alone someone who would require the 64cm size. So, guessing there’s some errors in that chart as shown, because the frame as it stands doesn’t look to have any weird geometry going on.

I usually don't have issues with 74 or 73 degree STA since i am average height, average built - i always look at stack/reach to compare sizes. My Cyfac is 72.5 but has a longer toptube so.. kinda evens out. It looks fairly standard geo by eye. Will see if i can use a plumb bob to measure it "accurately".

Here's a beauitful c-record era seatpost. it looks like mint condition.

I’ve been checking into this thread regularly hoping to see more updates or the finish build.

I’m currently building something similar & would be looking for ideas!

Please don’t make us wait any longer!

Merry Xmas by the way!

Cheers

Hey thanks :)

It's as good as finished now. There were a few hickups, a ebay seller didnt come through and i had to go through the refund process and start my search for NOS parts all over again.
The handlebars will probably be changed, they came out narrower, around 40c-c.

I'll get back with some photos tomorrow, it's getting dark now.

I'm very curious as to how the polished hubs will stand up to the elements. I would think with the black anodization being polisehd off, that they might be prone to oxidation? What did the guys who refinished it say about that? And was that just a little decal they were able to add to the hubs after. They’re very nice.
You may have seen my question in the Cherubim thread. I got the two mixed up for a moment so edited the post over there and posted here. Both very nice bikes.

I am not sure about that but I guess it would react the same as other polished parts that are not anodized ? A regular cleaning and polishing should do the trick as we used to do with older polished rims etc..
I believe the label is the original one, not a decal - you can see some of the process at noble wheels here: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/polishedrecord/
