Hi,

I was lucky to find this special frame in a size 55 and at a great discount. Its #35.
It's a real beauty in natural light.
I would like to get some ideas from you guys on the parts I have in mind.

The seatpost, stem and bars I would like to have something to match the chrome lugs.
This kinda rules out the "milky" looking anodized parts such as Cinellis.
A new campagnolo silver record seatpost is not so hard to find.
The bars and stem I am really not sure.

I got myself the latest generation 8-spd campagnolo downtube shifters. I also ordered a 10-speed index gear ring which are for the barend shifters but the 10 speed barend shifters are essentially the same thing as these latest gen 8-spd downtube veloce ones with the 3-springs inside - older ones with 2 springs wont work for 10 speed conversion.

Next I already have a new set of record alloy cranks on it I've been saving for years, bottom bracket is a Royce Titanium.

For the derailleurs and brakes I would probably use Veloce silver as these work fine and look okay.
Perhaps wait until I can find some silver chorus 10 speed ones ?

Any cool suggestions ? :)

That finish is fantastic.

Thought about rim choice? I think polishing up some Ambrosios or similar would look great with the chrome.

I was thinking maybe some TB14 rims ? those are polished and shallow but I have not seen any in person.
With either Royce or Campagnolo silver hubs if I can find some.

If you could find a NOS pair of Mavic SSC tub rims laced on to Campag Super Record small flange hubs 32/32, that would be just perfect for that exquisite frame.

Liam, that is indeed a good choice and while I have used tubs a lot in the past I do not anymore. So it will be clincher box rims :)

A couple of updates.
Found a mint chorus 10 speed derailleur and upgraded the 8s downtube shifters to 10s by replacing the index gear ring inside with part # SL-RE319 (bar end 10s index gear).
Worked great.

Bars are 3ttt Morphe - stem is on order and will be a 3TTT 84 record.
C-Record era seatpost coming soon too.

I love NOS stuff! IMHO a classic drop handlebar will look better.

This will be really nice. Will the rear dropout spacing work with the 10sp hubs or will you need to coldset it to 130mm? And yes, it’d be nice to find some silver chorus calipers. Looking forward to seeing it up and running.

That's a new frame so it's 10-11-12 speed cassette compatible.
