Do you mind me asking why you chose KCNC skewers? I'm about to acquire a set of lightweight skewers and there seems to be a handful of candidates in the 40-50g range. All share the same basic shape and most likely clamping force as well, but prices vary a bit.

Yeah, I got them almost 2 years ago. They were in the price range and weight that I wanted. . They have done a great job over the time frame I have had them, so would recommend these to anyone looking for a light weight skewer.

Nice build! That’s a big difference between my 56 and your 54. I attribute most of that to the paint, which I’m happy to have. Fork weights are about equal. Really looking forward to seeing you whittle down the weight on this ride.

Ok, Let me rephrase this...I know nothing about Ceramicspeed OSWP. Are there advantages to having?

Im obviously using sram Etap.

Some concerns i have from what ive heard, but have zero personal experience with.

-Ive heard some folks say that it slows etap down.

-Ive heard it is loud

-I've heard that it can be finicky to set up


Thoughts?

OSPW is ugly as shit and for massive freds only so maybe not a bad idea.

IDK dudemanpns, I have heard that the OSPW saves major watts on the rollers and you get a noticeable difference in Zwift times.

Sincerely, why does this matter? Aside from the reality that there is NO way any bike is going to have unanimous admiration (that only happens on Paceline - not IRL and definitely not on WW) - you're the only person who will be riding it, right? So... what else do you expect to gain from the ~$500 OSPW purchase?

As someone who's had a couple blingy bikes - I'm well past giving a single fcuk what anyone else is going to think when I'm putting together a build. I'd like to think that every piece of my build has a functional purpose - at least in my own reasoning.

All fair points. Ill rephrase my question. I dont know anything about Ceramicspeed OSPW, so what I should have said from the get go, is it a beneficial part I should look into. I've seen them on some nice builds before and curious if it has a functional purpose or if it simply a gimmick product.
