Currently setup on 700x30s that roll like as freight train and are comfortable for this old man.

2019 S-Works SL6 Disc
56cm, 11cm stem, 42cm bars, 77cm Saddle Height, 15.5 lbs / 7.0 kilo as pictured

Mods other than published spec
- Pioneer 9100 power meter mated to a Ceramic Speed BB30, 24mm BB insert. While the S-Works/4iiii powermeter was light, it malfunctioned right out of the box. Crank and BB Courtesy of Spec given there were no replacements avail. Given the Wahoo integration, I think the added features outweigh the lighter weight... and it works!
- KMC x11sl chain Gold
- Challenge Strada Biancha tires 700x30 (measure 31.8mm)
- S-Works Carbon Rib Cages
- Fizik Aliante R1
- Look Keo Blade 2 Ti
- K-Edge Wahoo Bolt aero mount

Thinking about building an uber light set of low profile wheels... hopefully something sub 1300g??

Any ideas for this bike? Hoping to find a worthwhile 20-30 mm profile hoops.

Hi Rich.. Terrific build.
The challenge tires looks pretty good...comparison vs the S-works turbo besides the increased width?

For wheels.. Depends on how much you want to spend.

Schmolke tlo 30 will get you well under that weight ( around the 1000g mark depending on hub choice)

Bora 35 disc tubs will also be in range (just under 1300g according to spec)

Or stay in the family... Roval clx 32 disc tubs will also be under 1300g

Hi Rich.. Terrific build
Thank you sir!!

As for the Challenge tires... they’re heavy (318g), but still fast for such wide rubber. Local roads have lots of gravel and sand. So tired of flats on pretty much every ride. Though I’ll get sick of the extra heft once I wear them thin...

I actually never rode the sworks 26mm cottons. They’re still on the shelf. I did ride through the set of Corsa Graphine 28s in short time. They are my go to tire for the most part.

I have two other interesting tires on the shelf to try. Grand Bois Extra Leger 28s (228g) and Compass Chinook Pass 28s (246g). Both skin walls. Sworks cotton 26s are 240g for reference.

As for a light wheel set - I should added 1300g clinchers!! :beerchug:

Those are very nice... and carbon Ti hubs no less. Are those disc specific hoops?

I should say I’ve tried them on other bikes. While wicked fast... durability is about the worst I’ve seen.

Saving these for some lighter hoopage

great looking bike.

Did not know that this frameset can manage 30 mm wide tires? And brakes too?

Yes, but while Strada Biancha’s are marked as 700x30... the calipers day they’re 31.8 wide on the Roval 50s.

Don’t think these will fit the rim brake version.
