My wheel changes have been easy with both the standard and direct mount hanger.
^ Then your frame doesn't have the issue in the first place. And that's exactly what I would expect... wheel removal should be the same with either DM or STD mount hangers, so long as the derailluers end up in the same place. And if your wheel was difficult to remove with the standard hanger and b-link, then it will be difficult with a DM hanger as well. Unless mods were made with with initial setup (which is possible and easy) or the DM hanger was designed to take that particular frame's peculiarities into account, and positions the derailleur slightly outside of Shimanos specs to accommodate it.

No, adapter cups are doo-doo. Using a proper Ceramic Speed BB30 Shimano Road Insert.

No. There is only a TA direct mount hanger available, & as the SL5 is QR only... no luck I’m afraid.Ritsuke wrote:Is the direct mount hanger also for the SL5?

Hi Rich, stunning build. Really liking your choices. (I also didn't hate the brown bar tape
)
I've got an sworks sl6 disc incoming that I'm building up. I'd like to run 30mm GP5000s on the CLX50, but I'm concerned about clearance issues, both in width and also height.
Your Challenge 30s like tight behind the seat tube and, I'm guessing, also under the fork crown. How wide do yours measure up and have you ever had any issues with picking up stones that have scratched your frame at those points?
EDIT: I'm also looking at Hunt's new Limitless wheels (48mm deep and 34.5mm wide) and Light Bicycles Falcon Pro WR50 (50mm high and 32mm wide).

Strada Biancha 30s are a bit tight but do clear. Lately been running corsa graphene 28s.
