Let me know if you need some help on it. I can dig up the buffing kit I used with the various power drill specific buffing wheels and the correct buffing compound for you to borrow.
Wow appreciate it... But I'm in Singapore 😂
I was responding to wolfesquire’s post haha. He lives not far from me. I’d love to come check out Singapore though haha

Lightly sanded down the fork to remove the clearcoat. Sprayed it gloss black

Done! Gg to put on bartape and bottle cages once I have the time. 6.7kg from my mechanic's scale as what he told me.

Your levers are too low, ramps should be parallel with the ground at minimum, higher is acceptable too.

First ride after build. Finished at 6.75kg with pedals.

Is there a reason why one wouldn’t be able to use a chemical stripper to remove the paint from an aluminum frame? I’ve used chemicals to strip the clearcoat/paint from my alloy (car) wheels and polish them up afterwards. It’s much easier than sanding by hand and then you can use a machine polisher to get the final finish you want (brushed, matte, full polish). Like this https://www.flickr.com/gp/7120760@N05/2927u1

A chemical stripper could get rid of those small black marks on the welds of your head tube.

I did use chemical stripper but those black marks are super stubborn

What type of stripper did you use? I had very good success with Aircraft remover or 3V3. It might take a few concentrated applications to the difficult areas.
