And so it begins... Not a WW but after my new hip I'm after comfort and not speed...
Ex demo frame, in transit from Hungary...
Couldn't resist one of these at under $150 new...
And just like my Colnago E1 it has an incompatible Ita thread BB for Overtorque so I'll do as I did before
New ceramic Rotors this time, Tune ones last time...
Now to raid the parts bin...
Suggestions on a postcard for wheels?
A
PS
If you not familiar with this frame, here's a review of the earlier version:

And the frame has arrived... Wow... I looked at some £4000 frames at the weekend in the LBS and they were no way near as stunning as this frame. The seller's photos did not do this frame justice (and mine probably won't either...) but its a mixture of golden orange, white, dark siver and carbon. The ceramic coating on the frame must be what helps with the overall feel and finish. I know the welding isn't filed down and there's good reason for that but for a hand made in Italy frame this is truely stunning.
It's almost too nice to build into a bike and ride it... But it will definitely inspire me to ride when it's built up. The quality of the finish etc. will make me go back and look at other builds (like Calnago's) for inspiration as this deserves to be something special. Hunting down the parts to combine with what's in my stock will be fun but time consuming as I'm on a very limited budget. I have some 50mm Vuelta Carbon Tubulars which might work but I'm thinking that 50mm might be too deep for this frame?
Considering this frame is from '07 I think by the stamp on the BB then it's almost spotless - you can see where the brakes were fitted and the RD was but apart from that, hardly a mark on it. To say I'm pleased is an understatement....

Congrats! Eagerly anticipating this build.
I had one and still miss it to this day.... You're going to love it but I hope you received a seatpost with the frame as it uses an odd 31.0 diameter.

I was offered one off a different frame but it was very worn. Also the 25mm setback doesn't work for me. My current thinking is monolink with a shim. I've 2 others with monolink and Selle Italia'a SLRs with cutouts and they work for me as they allow a lot of forward positioning wrt the Pedals.jimaizumi wrote:I had one and still miss it to this day....
