I'd like to say hello to everyone first then introduce my BMC Teammachine SLR01 disc i have been riding since November last year.

I'll happily go on the record by saying i've had allot of bike's in my time put nothing that has impressed this much since aquiring my old Klein Quantum Pro in 1995. It's a stiff as all get out but remains comfortable to ride due to the soft post. Too me it excells on short steep pinches moreso than flat open roads. I'm not going to say its the best handling bike or anything like that but i can't fault it. Like any bike it's all subjective. For my 182cm/73kg frame and riding style it ticks all the required boxes.

Aesthetically I just love our clean all the lines how and how neat my mechanic has been able to shrink the Di2 cable to the hydro lines and keep them tucked close to the bars.

Its not an overly like bike at 7.42kg ( with Garmin 520 ) but does the job perfeclty for my needs. I'm sure with a set of ligher wheels it will sneak down to the low 7's but i can't see it going any ligher than that. I ride around 18-20k a year so it has to be durable as its my only bike i actually ride.

Build is as follows

BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc Frameset Size 54
Shimano Dura-ace 9170 groupset
Shimano Dura-ace Powermeter 175mm
Zipp 404 NSW wheelset Clincher
Michelin Competition Power 25mm tyres
Shimano Dura-ace 9100 pedals
3T Rotundo Team bars Stealth ( yes i still prefer tradional shaped bars ) 42cm
BMC ICS stem 130mm
Fizik Antares R1 saddle

I've recently aquired some Dura-ace 9170 C40 Tubeless wheels I'm keen to try out. I've had enough of been blown around too much on the 404's day in day out.

Upgrades? Haven't really got any thus far. Have contemplated trying a lighter saddle and maybe a set of 9170 C60 Tubulars for racing.
The Antares is a love hate affair. I battled with it for the first year some 6 years ago now when i first got one and have stuck with them ever since. Maybe its laziness. Its not the comfortable put i just persist with it.

Hope you enjoy.

Jared

Thank you godzuki26. The photo was taken around 5km from the town of Lorne along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria Australia.

There are no exposed cables on your bike. I am jealous. Your bike is as clean as it gets. Great job.

Love the build and BMC. I still have my SLR01 from 2012 and it's still one of the best riding bikes I've owned. Perfect blend of stiffness, compliance and handling. And they age extremely well. I could definitely see myself replacing it with a disc version, should that time ever come.

Probably the best looking disc braked bike I've seen on here.

Your bike looks great, especially the uncluttered the cockpit is and how bar tops/shifters make a round recess.

BMC has done an excellent job with cable management without going nuts on tube shape.

Lovely looking bike and great assembly by the builder.

Nice pick up Survivor! Had a brain fade after having a puncture on the ride earlier.

Thank you to everyone else for their kind comments. I too love just how minimilst and simplistic BMC have created this frameset.

Thought I'd throw up a photo with the C40's i've just recently put on with the obligatory Vittoria Corsa Gumwalls.
