11-36 Recon cassette. Doesn't get lighter than this. Using this to see if it will work out. If it works out, I will upgrade to the titanium cassette with a slight weight penalty.

Let's anodize the Etap battery pink....sort of. Tamiya PS-50 spray. It looks anodized when finished and matches all my parts.

Ran into some issues with the Litespeed that I really don't want to get into. Paid, didn't get, waiting. Will still get it but I need to put these parts on something to see how much the bike will weigh. Found a 2007 Scott Addict R2. These frames are hidden weight weenie gems and they are still competitively light considering they are 10 years old. Most weight weenies built their frames around the Scott Addict SL and the R1. The only difference between the R2 and the SL is that the R2 uses BB86 pressfit and the SL uses a standard threaded BSA68 English bottom bracket. R1 is like the SL except it has an ISP. All frames use the HMX Carbon. If you are planning to do an R2 build be careful because in 2009 they switched to the lower grade and much heavier HMF carbon. 2007 is the good shit. Like the T1SL, the Addict uses a 31.6mm seatpost and a 44mm semi integrated head tube. An easy swap, the only difference is the bottom bracket which is PF30 vs BB86.

Since this is a 1x11 Etap wireless, I removed the unnecessary shift cable stops.

I think the 36 tooth cassette looks weird. But it is necessary for a single tooth 44 front ring. If they made this cassette in black it would look better. Notice the painted lock ring and Etap battery? Pretty close in color to the POP rear skewer and the Token bottom pulley bolt. I also used a silver derailleur extender instead of the pink one. In my opinion, using silver made it blend better with the derailleur. Without the extender, there was no way I would be able to clear the 36 tooth cog with a 20 tooth Oversized Narrow wide pulley.

When all is said and done, this came out ready to ride with pedals and 2 bottle cages at 4.05kg or 8.95lbs. I can easily be under 4.00kg if I remove the Ridea derailleur cage and put the stock one back on. I think this is a good weight considering I am using Etap and I didn't carve anything up with a dremel like I usually do. So, if the Scott Addict R2 frame is around 670 grams, and a Litespeed T1SL frame is around 990 grams, just add about 320 grams to this current build. That will leave the Litespeed at around 4370 grams or 9.6 lbs which is below my sub 10lb goal.

You sure make sanding and putting custom decals (or paint?) on look real easy. She's looking real good already.

It seems the pink eeBrakes didn’t work out? I was looking forward to seeing what that would look like.

Yes I ended up returning the pink EE brakes. They were more of a magenta color and did not match the pastel pink I am using on this build. The non matching color would take too much focus off the frame and make the calipers the focal point to the eyes which I did not want.

I am using a Gundam Marker for the Scott decal. Not bad?

Weird that Litespeed wouldn't follow through - stocking issue?

Nonetheless the Addict looks dope.

Wholly holy wow.

I'm not a 1x fan at all, but that looks amazing. Weight even better. Great work.

How long did the strip take?

I have gotten quicker at doing this. It took me about 3 hours total spread out in 30 to 45 min intervals over a couple days. I got this frame on Ebay for $275 USD which is a steal compared to a $3999 USD Litespeed.
