Oops thanks I just fixed it.....might as well post this too. Next to the naked THM fork, the stripped crankset looks nice. I will probably leave it this way. I like the dark grayish look of naked carbon. If I re coat this with a vapor layer of matte clear coat it will turn black again.

I am now 14 pages in. Many of you are probably wondering “where the hell is the frame?”

Genius! Hot pink as accents and all the pinks will be happy.

Are you saying you need a frame to pull this all together? :noidea:

5.6g lost, that's excellent.

If the 44 tooth Fibrelyte chainring is under 22 grams, I can have a sub 400 gram system (crankset, bottom bracket, chainring bolts, chainring). Not sure what the actual weight of the 130 BCD chainring will weigh. I will eventually swap for an aluminum Wolftooth chainring but for now I want the carbon ring.

THM is still one of my favorite looking carbon cranks, and I've always preferred the matte look to gloss.

Ultralite Fibre-Lyte? Mine have all been Lightweight 2, which is a couple steps down. Don't recall being that light, but I've never weighed an Ultralite. Can't find my sheet that shows the weights of mine. Grr.

On a side note, I have exploded a Fibre-Lyte ring, but that was due to a chainring bolt failure while riding uphill. Replacement is still going strong, although currently unmounted to a bike. I'd weigh it, but it IS mounted to a crank.

I ended up getting the Lightweight 2. Stephen@Fibrelyte once recommended that I don’t get the Ultralight if I plan to use it for daily use. It is show only he said. I once broke a spyder on a Clavicula Classic DP when using it as a single ring. That is why I use carbon spacers on the back side of the Spyder so the chainring bolts are not directly in contact with the Spyder.

Some more pink. These KCNC teflon coated brake cables are nice. They are a little lighter too out of the box. I will never use Powercordz again!!

I am going to use a Carbonice Eva 34.9mm clamp. It is the same clamp I used on the Ghisallo. I think a pink seatpost clamp will look ugly on this frame and will disrupt the flow of the bike. Parts of Passion (POP) used to make a carbon clamp like this with pink barrels. That may look nice. Hmmmmm??

Pink bolt and the Darimo clamp would save a bit more.

What did you use to get the gold off the Ultralites? Googling yielded some mixed results.

I bought a pair ages ago with one of the gold bits missing. I got a replacement made, so currently one gold and one silver. I need to fix it!
