Do you think I shoul lop a bit off or send it back saying its a bit heavy. Its a xl frame ffs. It's not going to be light. The weight is as pictured too, i.e not bare.

I think us 190cm+ people on the forum should cop a break.

Our bikes are always going to come in heavier, especially spending the same kind of money.

We aren’t going to get the eye catching weights that some of the more average sized people are especially with an Ultegra build! Alas we do the best we can.

My complaining is now over 😆

Some progress today. Rear wheel built. Yes it's one of mine. 712g with an extralite hub. New brake track so I'll see if this is an improvement. Sapim CX ray spokes and the straight pull hub is 129g. The rim weighed 460g. It is 45mm deep and 26mm wide. Image

Love the frame, and as a taller bloke myself I can't wait to see how it turns out. Nice looking rim, too!

That rim looks rather nice, any more details?

Internal width is 18.2mm. 250C tg temp resins in the brake track. I will have to see how it performs on a long decent. Steel mold are used and the logos are not transfers, it is part of the surface finish of the rim and is slightly recessed. I have not seen this on any other rim yet. The manufacturer does this for me. My other carbon rims have the same logo style. This pic better shows what I mean. Looks like my camera lens needs a clean.

Front wheel 567g so that's 1279g bare.

Tape is 11g per wheel, two layers. Valves 12g 75mm long. Tyres are IRC formula Pro light 25mm @261g each. Installation easy. Soapy water and a charge of air. Tyres remain seated when valve core is removed. 40ml of sealant added. Tyres inflated to 80psi and measure 24mm width on a rim measuring 25mm at the top of the brake track and 27mm at the bottom.

Campagnolo chorus 12-27t cassette and lockring us 261g.

Carbon Ti QR's 38g

Total for both wheels complete 2288g.

I think those rims look quite nice but the crossed spoke front is odd to me. Looking forward to the finished build.

its extralites lightest front hub and there spoke length chart was wrong. 272mm SP spokes are needed not the 274mm the chart suggested and I ordered. A bit late after the cut and rolled.

Campagnolo super record rs 2014 groupset parts weights. Just doing a bit of cleaning on them now before I fit them.

Parts fitted.

Weight currently is 6.01kg on the luggage scales but if you add up all the parts it's 5.56kg. Oh I weighted with the handlebar holder on!

Saddle weight 125g

Now what pedals shall I fit. Probably some looks.

That looks awesome! Great choice of components. A lovely change from the constant cannondale evo builds of the past year.

Finally spring is coming so I fitted the gear cables/casings which are ashima reaction and powercordz.

I'll use a steel cable for the brakes as I can't find my powercordz now.

Expected weight with pedals will be 6.5kg. just need to get some look pedals now. I'll probably nick the looks of my trek though. Not feeling rich at present.

Shedding Wright would be expensive. Bar/stem and saddle/seat post combo would help, a set of tubular wheels which I happen to have help more, brakes I can't afford....

I'll leave as it is. Being 85kg at the moment I should loose weight for me first.
