BEGINNING OF POST👇👇👇

After 46 days of waiting today I've received the pics of my new companion: Colnago C64 in black and silver.

I expect to receive it on Monday and this will be the components:

Bora ultra 50
Sram etap
Deda Alanera 2018 cockpit

I'll keep that thread updated with nice pictures.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

This is the cockpit I'm using ( yep I know it's modern in contrast to a supposedly classic frame but I simply love it, and I'm not sure the c64 it's so classical).ImageImageImageImage

It’s nice, but what is that between the two water bottle bolts in the downtube. I know on the recent limited edition they riveted the serial number plate there. I’m hoping they’re not doing that on all of them. To me that is just a very bad place to be riveting anything metal that water and sugary drinks could start to corrode, through finding its way between the plate and the carbon or between the rivets and the plate. Probably not an issue in the short term, but for the long term not so great imo. But I’m not even sure that’s what it is here, but those were my thoughts when I first saw it on the Limited Edition.

the Deda Alanera is not too bad for this C64 IMHO.

I would personally however prefer the Campy WTO wheels instead of the Bora Ultra as they have a more modern look matching the silver/ black and the Deda Alanera.

Wow...I didn't even know these wheels, but aren't for me. I really think 50mm it's even bigger than desired for my riding style. Being honest I picked 50 over 35 just for aesthetics...otherwise I would have gone for 35

Definitely it looks like a riveted plate. I can't confirm anything till I don't receive the frame (these pics come directly from the shop). Image

Yep, it's the serial number plate (I've blacked out the number obviously)

Is it just me or is there a lot of overspray from the lugs onto the tube. And what chainring bolts have a 2nm max torque?
