Like it. See you've gone for an alternative fork. I did the same and shaved off quite a bit of weight on my Extreme C. I didn't think that fork would work, but IMO it does.pritchet74 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 14, 2018 12:33 amI have been working on getting this project together for about a year - slowly accumulating the parts. Clever build. Fair bit of weight saved with the fork. 10 speed Campagnolo looks great. I'm thinking now of tracking down a stork stiletto light UMS forfor my 2005 Trek Madone will save 100 grams.

The Star fork that came with this was very heavy at 473 grams. I am assuming that for the team issue bikes they had thicker forks. The frame is heavier than a standard Extreme-C as well. I have a 48s Extreme-C that is under 1,000g and I don't see the extra 100g on this 50s coming for a small amount of paint and very little extra carbon tube lengths.

Ah, that explains the weight. Mine is a size 57 and came out, i think, just under 1100g. The front end reminds me a bit of Lance's Trek.pritchet74 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 14, 2018 4:06 pmThe Star fork that came with this was very heavy at 473 grams. Ah, jeez! This looks great.
Makes me think of something that’d be discussed in the “connoisseur”thread. Your Colngao has a little bit of everything going for it - vintage, racer, classy, etc.
Anyone else notice the Nikon color details? Slick.
[I’d like to do something similar with a Colnago 45s, if it didn’t break the bank.]

Got some new EE brakes for more matchy-matchy. Put on some gumwall Vittorias too.
