Had the itch to build something new. So sold my Bianchi Oltre XR4 and put the proceeds towards a Colnago. Many of my friends swear by them and the extensive coverage here and feedback from people I trust in the industry made the sticker shock more tolerable. The new aero bikes launched this week have me appreciating the traditional design of this frame even more than I did before. The original frame i built up was damaged at an cycling event and replacement which was ordered in early October finally arrived December. weight is 7.2kg

Looking forward to the final build. Will be stunning 8) Could you put that frame and fork on the scale before you build it?

Looking very good! But then I would say that because I have exactly the same coming! I have even gone for the MCFK bar and stem combo but your comments have me worried. Is the finish really that different?

Delorre - I will get it weighed this weekend

Magnum - great minds think alike. I wouldn’t say they are radically different. I noticed the c64 has more matte finish to it than the UD of the mcfk. I can be a bit neurotic. I’m sure it would look great with MCFK. I plan to check out the superleggera RS finish before making my decision

Returned the mcfk stuff opted for the Deda superleggera RS stuff for aesthetics.

Those will definitely match better than the MCFK. Going to look awesome.

Ok, that's nice. That stem looks like it was made for that frame. How heavy is it?

The Deda stem is around 100 grams. The mcfk was lighter but didn’t match and much more expensive

Why replace Mcfk by Deda? For Italian style?
