Hi, I thought I’d share my latest bike, it’s a 61cm Cervelo R5 Disc
It’s not a weight weenie built, but as I’m 90kg I don’t need a super light bike.
Unfortunately I haven’t got any scales to weigh it.
DuraAce 9170 DI2 hydro groupset 52/36 175mm chainset
160/140 discs
Pro Vibe carbon bars 44cm
Pro Vibe stem 11cm
S Works HD tape
Cervélo seat post
S Works Toupe 155
Speedplay Zero with 65mm axles
Roval CLX64 with 25mm Conti 4000s and 11/30 Ultegra cassette
Elite cages
I’ve got some Mavic Cosmic SL Pro UST that are away at Mavic getting a creak sorted, hopefully get them on soon.
The seatpost has a little too much setback, would have liked a 20mm setback rather than the 40mm that’s standard, unfortunately the only other option is a zero setback.
I’m suffering from the rear brake hose rattling in the frame, currently cured by tape, but it’s not very elegant

Looks really good, especially for such a big bike, but aren't you going to get really thirsty? The bottle cages are so far away!

Missed a few bits of the build list
Stages left only power meter
Wheels Components bb
Edge Mount Garmin mount
Still waiting for the Cosmics to come back from Mavic, I’ll probably put my Ksyrium Allroads on it for the Alps next week, as the rovals might be a handful if it’s windy in the mountains

Great looking bike! Can you confirm if the rear axle is 12x142mm? Thanks!

The rear axle is 12x142, but it’s need a RAT axle
Managed to get it on the scales yesterday, 7.59 kilos with the roval 64s, 2 bottle cages, Garmin mount and speedplay pedals
Not too bad for a 61cm disc bike with absolutely nothing chosen for lightweight over durability

My saddle height is 870mm from bb to top of saddle
I’ll measure the bar drop tomorrow
Head tube is definitely stiff enough, I’m a big guy and not noticed any excessive flexibility.

Any luck on saddle - bar drop?

Hope you are still enjoying your 61cm R5, which looks amazing. Am 6’4” with a 35” inseam and am looking at purchasing a 58 or 61cm. The 61cm is larger that my current bike, but 58 is smaller, hence my predicament! How tall are you?
