Hi All

I am a long time lurker on this forum and have been planning on building something worthy of posting up here for a while so I finally joined.

This forum assisted greatly in my decision making process in choosing a frame and the various parts that went with my build.

I was planning on photographing the whole build and weighing each part, but I got impatient and just got stuck it and built it.

The build is as follows:-

(headset is OEM and what came with frame)

( I need to cut the steerer, the seat post and shorten the brake cables and outers - so should save a little more weight)

I have not gone out to take any proper photographs as it has been bad weather here in Adelaide South Australia and I plan to this coming weekend, but in the meatime this is how it currently looks.

I have only done about 110kms on it, but I love how it rides ( I am coming from a Giant Defy Advanced Pro 0 which weighs 8.7kgs).

I will likely tweak it over the next few weeks as follows and change the current build as follows:-

replace tyres with Vittoria Corsa G+ open tubular with latex tubes (thinking of going black/tan as it will look great with the orange, but could be convinced on the anthracite also)

Change to 120mm stem

change to stem mount for garmin and change to garmin 130 from 520

Change bar tape to something lighter (havent decided yet)

change brake cables and outers to jagwire elite

Possibly change calipers to Dura Ace 9100 (although the aerolink calipers are not as bad as I thought)

On the photos, try to hold the camera slightly higher than the bars - if shooting from below the drops it makes the bars look really odd.

I agree about the photo angle, I had to take it in the hall way and couldn’t get far enough away from the bike had to go lower.

Hopefully I’ll get out over the weekend to take some decent photo’s and I’ll post them up. I might also have the black/tan vittorias on by then also.

Just love that orange. Looks great. Yes the weather has been crap here in Adelaide. Just about had enough of the strong winds. Hope you've managed to get a few rides in now.

KCookie I have only been out a couple of times so far everytime I have had the opportunity to ride the weather has been crap.

As always with a new bike I am not perfectly comfortable on it as my previous bike was fairly well dialled in, but it did feel a lot more responsive.

I have now fitted the black/tan corsa's and some duraace calipers ( so cannot wait to try these out).

holgerscheller I bought the frame from a bikestore here in Adelaide called bicycle express they pulled down an etap build to theframe headset and seat post for me, cannot remember the cost exactly.

Yeah BE in Norwood is my LBS, been going in there years from when Glen owned Track Cycles. Lets hope you get it dialled in soon so you can start enjoying the ride.

dont get me wrong i enjoyed the ride, but the current fit needs some minor tweaking.

I am going to Elbows Akimbo on Saturday for a fit.
