Current weight as shown: 7408 grams (incl pedals, bell, garmin remote, garmin mount, 2 bottle cages)

Thinking about replacing the Ultegra with either mechanical DA R9120 or SRAM Red Etap wifli. That should take it in the 6.9kg region.

Scale shot and full list to follow when updates ready.

How are the MCFK rims, what was the weight and the hubs you laced these to? Or the wheelset came already assembled?

See attached pictures. Spokes are cx-ray with alu polyax nipples. Wheels are just installed, no usage info yet, sorry.

Contemplating removing the MCFK stickers, they are a bit loud compared to the rest of the bike. Although perhaps too much fashion, some skinwall tires may bring a bit of color?
Below a mock-up with poor photoshop skills:

The wheels are too 'loud'. Removing the decals will be better.

I remember reading that MCFK stickers are quite heavy, about 10-20g for both wheels. That's enough of a reason to remove in my book :D

Have you had any decent rides on the Mcfk wheels yet? I'm thinking of getting a set of their 55mm wheels for a custom Ti bike i'm building up. How do you like the wheels you have?

Like the wheels, noticeably lighter than my previous Reynolds set, but still very stiff, partly due to asymmetric spoke hole pattern.
However, they are a bit more sensitive to cross-winds than the 40mm Reynolds. And the current trend is a bit more internal width, would now perhaps look at light-bicycle. But the MCFK’s have molded spoke holes, and are probably (hopefully) a bit stronger.

As it would happen, I just ordered a set of Light Bicycle AR56 rims with Tune King Kong hubs and Sapim CX-Ray spokes (24 hole front, 28 hole rear). Cheaper than than the Mcfk's by a fair margin and only 35g heavier. Thanks for the input.
