Buggered my back a few weeks ago with a compression of the L4/L5 disc. At the time of writing I am still off the bike; but, as I was already between projects after selling my Eriksen and having had a Cervélo C5 frameset fall through, I saw it as an opportunity to build something that would make riding as comfortable as possible when I do get back in the saddle - hopefully in the next week or so.

I'd picked up a Dura-Ace R9120 mechanical hydro group for the failed C5 project, so I already had that to hand. Trek Australia found a 2017 SL Disc frameset in their warehouse; and I'd had an offer for a set of Hunt wheels - before I knew it, this came together in no time!:

The saddle position still needs sorting as I need the long seat mast topper with 5mm offset (pictured is the short one with 20mm offset). Additionally, I have a black IsoSpeed cover coming for the front as well as gloss black covers for the rear IsoSpeed (which I've already switched out, but to matte black at the moment).

The white graphics are all going to be covered with vinyl wrap, which is being designed as we speak. Current plan is camo or a purple design; but once the templates are sorted I can essentially change out the graphics whenever I want, then just print and install new wrap.

Weight is 7.8kg - which isn't bad with 1500g alu wheels and 32c rubber!

The DA R9120 mechanical hydro stuff is *very* impressive so far too.

Build List:
Trek Domane SL frameset
Dura-Ace 9120 mechanical hydraulic groupset (160mm rotors, 52/36 x 170mm chainset)
Zipp Service Course SL stem, 110mm
Zipp SSR bars, 40cm (bar tape on original build is Manual For Speed RFTD 'Space Tape')
SQlab 612 Ergowave carbon saddle
Hunt Aero Light disc wheels
Grand Bois Cypres 30c (32mm actual) tyres
Dura-Ace 9000 pedals
Knog Bell

Post updated with a link - it's the black version of the Manual For Speed 'Space Tape'. I've wrapped it asymmetrically.

Still not ridden, but at least the graphics are a little more subtle now:

How did you get the shapes to cut the wrap to?

Masking tape templates were made my tracing the shapes on the frame, then that was drawn on Illustrator to be plotted on a vinyl cutter.

Unmasked again whilst it awaits the next version of wrap to be installed. This things is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite bikes - the ride is *incredible*:

Looks good  although, is it just the photo or is the frame really really short for its height?

Nice ride. I wanted to go the same way, but couldn’t find a Domane in my size (61) anywhere. So I had to « settle » for a Giant Defy.
