Now I've got some small bits to gather. I thought the frame was coming with the Save seatpost, which would be fine for awhile but a little ugly. I was a bit horrified when I pulled an alloy post out of the box yesterday. So today starts the hunt for a di2 RD hanger, internal battery fixing solution, weenie post, and maybe a couple other small bits. Hoping I can still get the bike together for a ride this weekend.
What seatpost do you think you will end up with? Ive been using the SAVE seatpost for a while and cant complain but the MCFK post looks a lot better and is 45g lighter than my cut down SAVE (which is still a respectful 165g). I like the clamping mechanism on the MCFK as well compared to some other lightweight posts that seem to put a point load on the saddle rails so Im leaning towards that for the time being.

Great frame and great colourway. Surprisingly light. Half curious as to what the weight woukd be stripped of paint.

Clearly I’m not partial in the matter but your going to really love it. It’s definitely a unique color (never seen another one in my area and we have a lot of Cannondales) and the ride is sublime.

Just a quick piece of advice on the stock seat post clamp. I had the save post and switched to the 2017 MCFK post. When I switched I noticed the seatpost clamp had crimped the carbon on the post. After talking to my LBS the head mechanic mentioned he had the same thing happen to him. I definitely did not torque over 4nm and I know the mechanic was careful on his bike. Anyhow, the lesson learned, I bought a Thompson clamp at a weight penalty but now have piece of mind and it really is a beautiful piece of bling!

Cheers! And enjoy the ride. I posted a couple of shots of mine below for reference of different wheel depths.

P.s. Funny enough I’ve been thinking about building up a T2 as my next bike!!
