+1. you although can use a blade, and wet 800 or 1000 sand paper for finish.
i further clean aluminium stems, with benzine or ethanol.

...and, i have to say it: your bike imo deserves better pictures. :D I am although a very bad photographer, but outdoor, when light is good (evening or morning) helps a little bit (sorry for smart ass blabla... :beerchug: )
