I picked up some 6800 Ultegra brakes to use for now. They came in at 351g (!) .. I got them cheap. One careful owner, who never washed his bike.
They’ll be replaced with kcnc cb9’s later. -130g
And I got another K-edge mount, I’m using these on all my bikes. I put Ti bolts in and it’s coming in at 29g.

FSA SL-K 130mm stem tuned with Ti bolts came in at a disappointing 174g but at least it all matches.
I’m bidding on some Dura Ace levers which will save 56g.
Obviously I always knew the Shimano Ultegra components would mean only modest weight targets would be achievable but it’s easy to upgrade to Dura Ace 9000 components as they become more affordable.
Need to take another 10mm off of the fork but here it is as it stands
Current plans for paint are a pearlescent white with chrome or metallic red cannondale down tube logo but that’s a way off.

Bidding on Dura Ace 9000 cranks.. fingers crossed.
Bought the KCNC top cap/expander which is 36g total, so should save about 15-20g from the cheap one I got originally.
Got my eye on some shifters too.
No other real news.

Won a pair of Ultegra 6800 shifters and 175mm cranks (50/34, will change for my preferred 53/39) and they are on the way.
Have revised the build list - there are lots of places I can lose weight on the build later on. Remember that this is a budget build and using some components I already had.

Kcnc Expander plug & top cap - 36g
Bottom bracket: KCNC BB30 Adaptor - 115g / $62.70 *

Much less seatpost showing at roughly my usual 88cm centre of B.B. to top of saddle measurement owing to the more standard less sloped geometry - I like it.

Shifters and cranks on. The kcnc bottom bracket / adapter was a breeze to install and works nicely.
Just waiting on the alligator I link cables (in silver) to arrive and a chain and I can build the bike up.
To get a rough set up I put my training wheels on it to see how it looked. I like it! I think the front fork I will paint all gloss black with just the 3T logo on top and leave the frame as is.
Now I know what it looks like I’m quite keen to hand build some light wheels as it will be predominantly used for the hills. It’s tempting to go for bike hub store stuff - what does everyone think about notes hubs and kinlin rims? I’ve avoided them in the past, but could build a reasonably inexpensive <1400g wheelset in this way.
Bar tape will be black fabric knurl and tyres on the final wheels will be Veloflex Masters. I’m open to suggestions as they’re a little puncture prone but I like the feel of them, and they’re 35g lighter than the Vittoria corsas. I only ride tan walls. Tubes will be maxis featherwight or conti super.

Nice build! I am very happy with my wheelset with Hope hubs and kinlin XR270 (24/28 sp) on my Caad 63cm! Weight of this set is 1530 g

Thanks! Your bike is lovely, I love a good campagnolo build!
I am looking at either some Reynolds Assault or Attack carbon wheels once my car sells, or some hand built aluminium clinchers.
I do like the Hope hubs - they seem the best weight/cost compromise and I have absolute faith in their durability. Are yours the RS?

I’ve been riding Shimano hubs too long (c35’s before now) and they’re silent it sucks
My HED stinger 9’s has a nice buzzzzzzzzzz
I’m hoping my next wheelset is a nice middle ground

Build this far has come to 5410g (without wheels/tyres/tubes/skewers and cassette) but with pedals and things like Garmin mount and cadence sensor.
I have a wheelset in the works that I will post about soon which will be <1500g, and I’m hoping to get the bike around 7.6kg for the initial build then upgrade the brakes to kcnc c9’s and be around 7.4kg with those and a few tweaks.

I used Vittoria Corsa G+ 25’s for the tyres (235 claimed, adding 60g over my planned Veloflex Masters) as I really like the ride feel (have them on my Propel) and they are the only decent tan wall tyre that I can get locally in case I get a bad cut and need a replacement tyre.
Same with lightweight inner tubes - the usual conti super sonic is not available locally reliably, so I used latex Vittoria inner tubes (adding about 40g) I also decided to use a run of the mill KMC X11 chain as the SL was quite a bit more expensive locally and I didn’t want to have to online order the chain for a small saving of 10-20g.
The wheels came from a local wheel builder and for my budget and preference for a wider rim came out beautifully. They are Kinlin XR22T’s 20/24h with Sapim CC-Super spokes, alloy secure lok nipples and Aivee SR2 hubs. 1464g for the set.
I haven’t had a proper ride yet just some tweaking on the trainer but they look good and are excellent quality.
So the final weight with pedals, Garmin mount and cadence sensor and one bison cage was 7790g. For an alloy 63cm frame, with alloy clinchers, Ultegra and nothing really exotic that’s okay for now.
I am keen to put some KCNC brakes on (-131g) and eventually put some Dura Ace 9000 components on!
