2017 BMC SLR01 - 6.03 Kg (Cane Creek Aer Headset installed Pg 11)

I just checked the Cane Creek site and they updated their compatitbility identifier. They do make an AER set that fits.
One problem though. I have a creaky bottom bracket with Rotor BB. I want to try the BB Infinite. Supposedly it removes the creak. I will probably add some weight. Hopefully with these recommendations I will drop low enough to offset the gain.

I checked them out, I’ve seen a few like them. I keep forgetting to try them out!ED76 wrote:Tubolino inner tubes: 39gr.

Generally, just measure the existing minimum insertion mark and replicate that. In theory, as you are running a lower saddle height you could reduce this even more as there is less post exposed = less leverageCAMSHAFT wrote:I have not. It has gone through my head though. I am concerned with possible resale. What is the rule of thumb for leaving length?
I’ve done this on all my bikes bar my Emonda SLR.

Tubolito Tubes ordered. They are coming from Austria so hopefully they come quick...
AER headset will be ordered on the first.

Right now cutting the seatpost is going through my mind however, I dont want to cut too much. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I’d cut 80mm below where your saddle clamps. That’s more than what’s needed.

probably not worth it in the long run... I'd search somewhere else for the gramz

I think you mean 80mm rather than 8mm.
If you are really chasing the grammes then it is a weight loss with no impact on function.
