Pretty incredible display. But apparently they don't have many tall riders coming through the door.... were any of those frames above a size 52?
My local Colnago dealer has none on display and most I've seen in any US shop was in Port Orange FL where I believe they had 3 or 4 C64's on hand.
I decided to purchase a Colnago 64 disc frame to replace my aging 22 year old Kestrel SC200, and while showing my wife she fell in love with the blue one. Which means we are now going to be ordering two C64 disc frames from Cicli Corsa bike shop which happens to be only 26 kilometers from the Colnago factory. The shop has outstanding reviews as far as I can tell and the co-owner of the shop has been very responsive so far. We will be ordering the BDRD for me and the BDBL for my wife. Will likely be putting Sram Red AXS on mine along with Enve 3.4 wheels and White CLD hubs. For my wife she likes the mechanical and we will probably go with Campy 12 sp record and same wheels and hubs. I don't think the Super Record is worth the price difference with a savings of only 130 grams. We were both prefitted at ERO sports in the United States and looks like 54H for both of us. I will post some photos of this at some point if there is any interest on this board.

Sounds great monicard, I'm picking my BDRD disc up today, which will be Campy 12 Record mechanical. Also have another with Campy Super Record 12 EPS. Both with mid-compact 52/36 and 11-32 as I'm riding very hilly rural roads and no longer racing.
However, unless your wife is exceptionally strong and/or rides only flat routes may want to consider the new Campy Chorus 12 disc. Guess there's more forum info under Campy topics but I just outfitted an older bike with Campy Chorus 12 with compact 50/34 & 11-34 for rainy/easier days and the shifting is superb. Chorus components share much with Super Record/Record groups, are also well finished and doubt there's a huge weight penalty. The option of lower gearing with lower price may be a much better value?

This is such good info for someone (me) about to build up a new one. I like Abbey and have a couple of his tools which are VERY well made and often such a nice solution where other tools may not even exist yet.GlasNago wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:45 pmwith regards the removal of the bb cups i found the plastic colnago removal tool is not fit for purpose. i broke two trying to remove the nds cup.
abbey bike tools fab an alloy metal tool, double the price of the plastic jobby, but had the cup out with no issues.

Hi monicard, I’m looking to order a 54H and wondering how tall you are and your inseam length for comparison. I’m 5’11” (180.34cm) with a 33” inseam (83.82cm), my saddle height from Center of B.B. to top of saddle is 80cm. Also wondering what you wait time is from order date, I was told 6-8 weeks. Would love to pictures of the 54H when you receive them, have not actually seen that size frame, do you know where I could find pictures of that size?
Thanks for your help, want to see how close are size is to both fit this geometry.
For those with the newer model with the SR9 stem that allows for internal cable routing, curious what are the options for mounting a Di2 junction A when using 3rd party handlebars that don't allow for a bar end junction? Specifically, although I have Enve SES carbon aero bars with internal routing, I am somewhat averse to cutting off the end of the bar to accomdoate an EW-RS910 Internal Junction A.

[edit]: Feb 23, 2018 decided to change the thread title to Colnago C64 - Inside and Out, from "Colnago C64 - The Naked Build". It was a fun title since I was about to just talk about the frame without actually putting a single part on it... hence the "Naked Build". But the thread has expanded into something much more substantial than I inititally intended... and rather than risk my Colnago C64 thread being lumped into a lot of internet porn searches, I decided to take the "Naked" part out of the title. It's still porn, mind you, but it's just bike porn.
For now, the crown jewel...
Nitey nite!
Parleez1, My size is 5'10" and my inseam is 32". I have attached what the fitter came up with. I actually thought he would recommend the 52H rather than the 54H but the stack is too short on that one. The delivery is 40 days according to the owner. I ordered both frames 2 weeks ago and I wanted to check in again with them next week since they appear to have a major corona virus outbreak in northern Italy and some places have been quarantined. They will be taking pictures of everything prior to shipping and I will post those when I get them hopefully in a few weeks.

Montpier Bike: Thanks for the input. I was originally going to get her the record but Cicli Corsa had really good package pricing on the combined buy of SR and the C64 and the difference in price became negligible. I have ordered her 34x50 chainwheels and a 11-32 cassette which should give her the same range she has on her current bike but the overall build will be ~10lbs lighter than the bike she has now. With that hopefully she will fly up the hills.

Hey Parleez1 - for what it's worth I'm in TN, US and ordered my C64 PJRD disc 52h week of June 28 2019 and it arrived at my Colnago dealer LBS week of Sept 30, including the factory August holiday closure.
Ordered my C64 BDRD disc 52h week of Nov 18 2019 (to replace a 10 yo Parlee Z3 which was no longer much fun to ride compared to my C64) and it arrived week of Feb 3, including Dec holiday closure.
As for fit: I'm 5'8" and fairly flexible for a 62 yo, but not quite as much I used to be, so the "h" geometry works well for me. I ride with 74.3 saddle height to BB center and using about 2cm spacers with 11cm stem. Posted a pic of the PJRD in this thread a couple months back.
Monicard - sounds like your significant other will be much happier with new bike and the BDRD metallic paint looks great (and easier to maintain than the matte finish IMO albeit probably with a slight weight penalty?)
