Complete build as shown cost ~$1,500. :) Race season is upon us! I absolutely hate that BMC puts a 70.5 degree HTA for their smallest sized frames. Handles like shit at low speeds and feels odd at higher speeds. Also hate how damn short the reach is, had to put a 3T 140mm stem on there.

Maybe the aero will help you average more than 13mph...maybe not.

Ok here comes the 'your bike doesn't fit you and I'm an internet bike expert' post...

For your next bike please try a bike with a trail around 59mm and front centre around 590mm. You shouldn't have any trouble with your reach (might go to a shorter stem if using a 73 degree head angle with 43mm rake) but stack might be a bit high since most 55-57cm TT bikes have taller head tubes. Either case looks like you have really short legs and a super long effective torso!

On a side note I think you will love how some track bikes size - high bottom brackets, 120mm head tubes, 57cm top tubes and 75 degree seat angles

I don't even know why I bothered to type out the above since it looks like you know what you like, so enjoy!
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it :)

Disclosure: I'm sponsored by Velocite, but I do give my honest opinion about them (I'm endorsed to race their bikes, not say nice things about them)

Looks good, how are the brakes? Good enough to stop you from 13.1mph?

Looks nice! How can it be ~$1,500?

For the record, I think your BMC looks great! Long (very), low (very) and fast (13.1mph?!) - all in a frame size that I can ride.

Wondering - Kudos on the deep drop bar, but maybe the reach is shorter than expected which required an extra 10mm from your stem?

Fix the shifter angle dammit, and needs deeper wheels.

Ha, thought I was the only person to moan about the 70.5 head angle on my BMC! (SLR02)

It felt weird until I found the right handlebar (zipp SL70) with a 110 -6 stem. Now its fine. Still can feel odd at low speeds when I've been riding something else, but its very stable at high speeds. Surprised at your high speed handling comment.
