Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
hello guys,
its my first post in this forum and a i would like to introduce my custom Scott Scale 700 RC
The frame is from 2014 and painted in daytona grey matt, like the Audi RS5 und RS6 racing machines
The other parts are more up-to-date with trickstuff, Extralite, Schmolke, Duke, German Answer etc
The part list is in german but i think everyone will understand the brands and product names
with Maxxis IKON Tires for better look but bit heavier at 7.100g:

I really like the matt colours. Incredible.
The tire clearance with Ikons looks tight around the crown, did you experience any issues riding in muddy conditions?
Moyo you can explain to me how you put rear brake cable inside frame? do you have drilled the frame?

WOW, what a great build. The color is great (and I like the Audi reference ). My similarly set up but much more basic Scale 710 pales by comparison.
i like the tubolito in combination with maxxis maxlight tires. i had no problems with with them.
And with 80g very light. But i will wait next generation the tubolito s-tubo with only 44 gram.
But they are not available yet.
The Grace XC stem is fantastic
77mm length, 77g weight and -7° very suitable for me.
And looking very sexy with that design and Clamping width 56mm
not yet.
The tires were installed few weeks ago
I did not have any muddy conditions yet or the opportunity because of winter and snow.
I will test it first and maybe avoid them
There is only 1cm between tires and crown.
The fork is 26" and the wheels are 27.5"
My last fork the DT Swiss XRC 100 had the same size and havent any issues with that combo
Brake was disassembled and cables led through the frame
The frame was prepared by user KaiGreen, one of the top light weight specialists in Germany and with bombastic Bike
Look at his build thread, its very exciting https://www.mtb-news.de/forum/t/scott-s ... 17.826040/
I had the same idea for internal brake cable routing but I'm worried if the brake cable beat inside frame when downhill.
You have also expand hole in the head of the frame?

I have the same frame and if I try to put inside the head hole the avid brake cable not go inside, the hole i'ts too small.
